Careers

Build your career. Own the work.

Guidon has been recognized as one of Indiana’s Best Places to Work eight times. That recognition reflects what matters most to us: our people. Our team plays a direct role in our mission to improve lives and empower people, both through the work we do and the way we work together.

We are a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, veteran-founded and employee-owned through an Employee Ownership Trust, and a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm. Our teams collaborate across disciplines to solve complex challenges with clear, thoughtful solutions. The work is meaningful, and the support is real.

"Guidon does truly believe in their mission to improve lives and our community, and they integrate those beliefs into every one of our projects."
"The company as a whole makes a concerted effort to be a place where people want to work, including listening to its employees about what they want and/or need. The atmosphere is always open."
"Guidon allows people to work with a flexible schedule. I believe there is a good work/life balance within the company culture. Employees can work on projects that are tailored to their interest."

Employee ownership plays a meaningful role in shaping life at Guidon.

Through our Employee Ownership Trust, we focus on Legacy + Longevity, honoring our foundation while building for the future. We Own Our Work, fostering accountability and pride through shared ownership. Same People + Same Purpose reinforces steady leadership and a collective commitment to long-term success for our clients and our team.

Our Four Core Behaviors

Solve problems proactively.

Come with solutions. Identifying a problem is crucial but engaging the problem with a potential solution is even better. We confront issues head on and take ownership –  leading the charge toward a resolution.

Our Four Core Behaviors

Follow up on commitments.

Do what you say. Keeping our word is not only important externally but internally as well. Commitments are made to ourselves, each other, and our clients. Whether it be in professional development goals, annual firm updates, or project kick-off meetings, following through is all about maintaining a culture of accountability.

Our Four Core Behaviors

Wash the dishes.

Do the small stuff. This mantra has guided our behaviors since our inception when literal dishes were the responsibility of everyone in the office. Helping one another permeates all areas of our culture.

Our Four Core Behaviors

Lead through Listening.

Listen first, talk second. This is a guiding principle in how we interact with each other and our clients. It prioritizes empathy and assumes nothing.

Life at Guidon

Our culture is not defined by perks or appearances. It is defined by how we treat each other and how we show up for our work. We value empathy. We value follow‑through. We value people who listen first and take ownership. You will work alongside talented professionals who care about doing things well. You will contribute to projects that serve real communities. Lastly, you will be trusted to lead, learn, and grow.

Training + Development

Our team is made up of driven and talented people who never stop learning. Our leaders strive to be empathetic and confident mentors. We enjoy creating individualized career paths based on personal goals and passions. Career growth is not a straight path – it’s a winding road of opportunities and unexpected changes. It’s our vision to make sure each Guidonnaire feels challenged and fulfilled in their current role and future career. The Employee Ownership Trust strengthens this commitment by aligning personal growth with shared success.
