The new IU Health Regional Academic Health Center (RAHC) on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, is a 700,000-square-foot facility. The complex will serve the entire region and will include a cancer center, surgical services, a women’s center, neonatal intensive care, physician offices and a trauma center. The project also includes a state-of-the-art health care simulation center that will train students and clinicians on new patient care techniques.
The ground-breaking occurred in January 2018, and the project is expected to be completed in 2020. The new state-of-the-art facility will bring together multiple medical specialties and outpatient services into a single campus. The campus also includes a new 115,000-square-foot Academic Health Sciences Building, which adjoins the health center and will consolidate most of the academic health science programs on the Indiana University Bloomington campus.
