Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources relating to the Firm.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution (preferably in HR, business or related)
  • PHR and/or SPHR preferred or willing to obtain (SHRM also acceptable)
  • 5-10+ years of experience in a HR role
  • Experience working with compliance and employee relations
  • Experience managing HRIS system
  • Experience in documenting/tracking of 401k and benefits plans
  • Experience with health insurance benefits
  • Experience leading a team of Human Resource professionals
  • Confidence in working in a 50+ person professional office

Responsibilities:

  • HRIS MANAGEMENT:
    • Ensure database effectiveness and efficiency
    • Drive employee response and use of portal for consistency and compliance
    • Ensure compliance of personnel files by maintaining updates as needed
    • Manage implementation and training on portal (if needed) firm wide
    • Oversee updates and ongoing changes as required to minimize business interruption and efficiency
  • Compliance
    • Interpret, guide, and respond to policy inquiries and offer implementation advice in regard to policies
    • Develop and revise policies as appropriate
    • Ensure compliance to employment, benefit, and wage hour laws
  • Compensation and Benefits
    • Work in coordination with Principal of Finance to manage benefit package (and provider),
    • Act as the primary contact for benefit inquiries
    • Lead efforts to oversee open enrollment
    • Administer compensation suggestions in partnership with leadership for job offers and salary reviews on annual basis
  • Staffing, Selection, Strategic Development
    • Collaborate with Leadership to execute talent acquisition: job description, recruitment, sourcing, screening, tracking, interviewing, hiring, extending offer letters
    • Evaluate, develop, and facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes and procedures including interviews, offer, onboarding, offboarding.
    • Serve as consultant and advocate to hiring managers during selection process to make hiring recommendations based on interviews, data assessment, and candidate qualifications
    • Identify and define sourcing pipelines using a variety of methods (e.g., networking, referrals, ads, internet sourcing, agencies)
    • Evaluate market prices on new and revised jobs
  • Employee Relations
    • Partner with leadership to advise on best practice strategies and techniques to address employee relations and performance issues
    • Implement and support performance improvement plan/employee action plan
    • Conduct investigations and, act as liaison with counsel regarding employment issues, if necessary
    • Administer and coordinate review program
    • Administer employee appreciation/engagement plan for firm
  • Staff Professional Development
    • Track staff professional development
    • Leader microlearning for large groups or small groups
    • Assist leadership with staff development
